At Healthentia, we are constantly expanding our ecosystem to bring clinically relevant data closer to research teams and patients. We are pleased to highlight our collaboration with Withings, a leader in connected health devices. Through this collaboration, we aim to provide Belgian and other international healthcare providers with high-quality, clinically validated devices that integrate effortlessly into their remote patient monitoring programs. The result is a streamlined, end-to-end experience — easy to set up, easy to manage, and easy for patients to use.

The Collaboration

Withings and Healthentia share a common vision: making connected health simple, reliable and meaningful. By combining Withings’ expertise in medical-grade wearables with Healthentia’s digital health platform, healthcare providers can now deploy, manage, and collect data from connected devices without complexity — whether for clinical research, chronic disease management, or routine remote monitoring.

What’s Integrated

The integration currently supports three Withings medical devices with cellular connectivity on both Android and iOS: the Withings BPM PRO 2 and BPM PRO, smart blood pressure monitors designed for accurate, effortless readings, and the Withings Body Pro, a smart composition scale capturing weight and body composition data. All three devices transmit measurements automatically to the Healthentia app, eliminating the need for manual data entry and ensuring a smooth experience for both patients and care teams.

How It Works

Device deployment follows a dropshipping model: devices are shipped directly from Withings to the end user, without the need for the healthcare provider or study coordinator to handle them physically. This removes logistical overhead, speeds up onboarding, and ensures patients receive their devices quickly and ready to use. Once a device is assigned to a participant through the Healthentia Portal, the integration takes care of the rest — from secure authorization to automatic data transmission. Blood pressure and weight measurements flow directly into the participant’s health profile, with no additional steps required.

Study administrators retain full control at every stage: they can manage device inventory, link devices to studies, and assign or unassign them to participants at any time through the portal. On the mobile app, participants can view their assigned devices, check their status, and see their measurements alongside data from other connected sources — all in one unified view.

Reimbursement Support in Belgium

For healthcare providers in Belgium, Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) programs using connected medical devices can be eligible for RIZIV/INAMI reimbursement, as long as they are based on certified reimbursable telemonitoring solutions — like Healthentia. This makes the Healthentia–Withings integration not only a clinically sound choice, but also a financially accessible one, reducing barriers for providers looking to scale remote monitoring for their patients.
